What is the Nutrition North Canada Program?

Nutrition North Canada (NNC) is a Government of Canada subsidy program to provide Northerners in isolated communities with improved access to perishable nutritious food. NNC is part of the Government of Canada's Northern Strategy.

NNC subsidizes a variety of perishable and nutritious food items (fruit, vegetables, milk, eggs, meat and cheese) shipped by air to eligible communities

Customers in eligible communities can purchase subsidized food from registered Northern retailers or directly from registered Southern suppliers.

Cantor’s Meats has a long and proven history of delivering fresh & frozen meat and groceries to many satisfied clients in Northern and remote communities in Manitoba, Nunavut and North-Western Ontario for many years.
